2021 Wrath Pinot Noir, Lemoravo Vineyard
In Stock
This wine is bright and juicy with strawberries and rhubarb, a touch of herbs, and some mineral/earthiness. The wine begins with aromas of stone fruit (Pluot) and ripe strawberries with a hint of eucalyptus and opens to flavors of blackberry balanced with cinnamon and anise and spicy white peppercorn. The texture is soft and long, leading to a finish that has some tart cherry and lingering spices.
Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The Lemoravo Vineyard is at the southern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands, almost directly below the Sierra Mar Vineyard. Part of the Kirk Williams (KW Vineyard) portfolio of vineyards/citrus groves, Lemoravo is fairly small (26 acres). Its name is a portmanteau of the three crops that used to be grown there: Lemons, Oranges, Avocados. Meticulously farmed, Wrath is one of several noteworthy wineries that are lucky to have access to grapes from this vineyard.
